 Downwind Daze 1 2022 - The Legend Continues

This is your Chance to paddle with the Social, Fun, Loving crew, or race against some of the best in the State.

The Social crew will be paddling the shorter option and is generally around 6k and the racing crew will be racing over or around 10k. For the social crew we want you to feel welcome whatever board you are on , (but yr day will go better on a downwind specific board)

If we cancel the event we will refund entrants money

If you have entered and are unable to attend we will refund yr money once we have received yr email on our club email.

The no refund ticket is the best price we can manage for the 3 events and there will be no refunds for this option

Course location and times and dates etc will go up as late as possible on the schedule part of this event page on the website, it will not be on any social media

Safety Information

We look to provide the best events for you, but we take your safety very seriously

We reserve the right to not allow entrants onto the course if conditions are challenging

Safety craft will be on the water with us and will be following strict safety protocol

PDFs and leg ropes are mandatory

High-vis tops are supplied as part of entry and are required to be worn during the event.

Waterproof phone with Coast guard safety app in waterproof bag or EPRB required. Other devices that will send out a signal when required will be accepted ,we will be checking at event registration.

We encourage all entering to have some Downwind experience - novices, please read the SUP Down winding information guide on the SUP Vic website under 'Getting Started’.

Points for racing crew - best results after 2 events

Overall winner Female and Male will be from any age category, will be best results from the 3 events .catergerories for racing crew will be open ,over 50 , over 60 , male and female .There will be prizes for the social crew as well at last event presentation.

 Downwind Daze series will be run strictly in accordance with covid-safe principles and the club's covid risk management plan and any government directives.
