Downwind Daze 2022 - The Legend Continues
If you are heading to the Lakes Entrance or State SUP Distance event, we strongly advise you to use these events as training runs to have you in peak condition for your event.
Two-day window for best conditions
Racing and social groups along with Wing Foil option
Safety craft on water
PDFs and leg ropes are mandatory
High-vis tops are supplied as part of entry and are required to be worn during the event.
Waterproof phone with Coast guard safety app in waterproof bag or EPRB required.
We encourage all entering to have some Downwind experience - novices, please read the SUP Down winding information guide on the SUP Vic website under 'Getting Started’.

Overall winner Female and Male will be from any age category
Catering supplied at the end of each event
Downwind Daze series will be run strictly in accordance with covid-safe principles and the club's covid risk management plan and any government directives.

- Registration Desk Opens ,(race finish spot ) Tyrone Beach carpak (toilet block ) ,,just past White Cliffs , Rye
- 8:50 am
- Acknowledgement and respect to original land owners, safety briefing ,course description ,introduction of water safety team
- 9:00 am
- Cars and Board trailer leaves
- 9:30 am
- Arrive at starting line ,Dog leash free beach Mcrea
- 9:35 am
- Racing ladies, Over 60 s start
- 9:55 am
- Racing Men start
- 10:15 am
- Social crew start ,Boat ramp Tootgarook (opposite Burdett st Tootgarook ) the social group will leave after the board trailer arrives
