Friday 17th (evening) - meet at Inverloch pub for a meal Sat 18th (morning) - surf - location to be nominated Sat 18th (arvo) - BOP race Sat 18th (evening) - free gourmet BBQ and a few drinks Sunday 19th (morning) - surf Sunday - lunch and presentation

The HIF SUP FESTIVAL is a new event which will bring together the best Stand Up Paddleboard riders and racers in the state for a weekend festival combining all three disciplines of the fast growing sport (Surfing, Technical Race, Marathon Race). The event is managed by Surfing Victoria in partnership with SUP VIC. Held on Geelong's iconic Waterfront, the festival's center piece will be the 9km Marathon along the Geelong Waterfront from Geelong Grammar and Eastern Beach. Also included in the event is a Technical Race. Both the Marathon and Technical Race are key elements in the selection of the Victorian State Team heading to the Australian SUP & Paddleboard Titles later in the year. The HIF SUP Festival is Proudly Presented by Kieser Training, TeamUp and Supported by CORE Boardsports & Patagonia.The Community Paddle primary course will be St Helens Beach to Eastern Beach (weather permitting) and will run parallel to the Marathon race. Full course details will be released closer to the event. NOTE: Participants will receive a 25% reimbursement when entering all two disciplines (Technical Race and Marathon). The SUP VIC Lunatics POD are pleased to announce their monthly calendar of SUP 5.0 sessions starting Sunday February 22nd and running every last Sunday of the month on the Maribyrnong River in Footscray.  SUP 5.0 is all about competing against yourself, in fact we will not be publishing everyone's times, just giving each participant their own personal times. It's about beating yourself and having a benchmark each month on the same course at the same location, having fun, catching up with whoever turns up, and enjoying the BBQ that follows. Fortuitously the course requires no buoys with the distance between the Fisher Pde Bridge and the Hopkins St/ Dynon Rd Bridge being (with turns) exactly 2.5km apart making a perfect 5.0km return loop. We'll meet at Footscray Park Landing (just along from the Footscray Rowing Club) and set up at the BBQs there. Here's the calendar for the year: Sunday 22nd February Sunday 29th March Sunday 26th April Sunday 31st May Sunday 28th June Sunday 26th July* Sunday 30th August Sunday 27th September Sunday 25th October Sun 26th July is a clash with the Canoeing Victoria Winter Series Footscray race run on the same course, so at this stage we will encourage people to participate in this in lieu of the 5.0 session, and consider running the 5.0 session either on the Sat or the week before depending on demand. Sessions will start at 9am and the BBQ will be fired up early. The event is free, with a $5 donation for those wanting to partake in the gourmet BBQ delights on offer. No need to register, just turn up.

The Naish N1SCO Australian tour starts in Melbourne. This event is becoming bigger and better every year.  Everyone competiting on the same inflatable board. Once again they are giving 2 lucky competitors a trip to the International championships.  

The Frankston SupFest is on again for 2015 in conjunction with the annual Frankston Waterfront Festival on January 17th and 18th. Each year the Frankston Festival and the SupFest gets bigger and better. Also included in the event is a Qualifying round for the Surfing component of the Victorian SUP Titles, and Technical Race. Both the Marathon and Technical Race are key elements in the selection of the Victorian State Team heading to the Australian SUP & Paddleboard Titles later in the year. The annual Family double - the RPS Half Moon Bay Blast - a fun, handicapped race that makes for an even playing field and fun for all levels, followed by a free BBQ for Sup Vic members, with a visit from SUP Santa, beer wine and soft drinks. There will be kids races and novelty races (were were unable to run these events at the Great Melbourne Paddle due to the unseasonal weather). Please make sure your membership is up to date otherwise there will be a $20 fee for day membership.      Registration:  8.30am Start time:  9.30am Lunch - 12noon onwards
