Autumn surf competition 2017. Ok Surfer Dudes and Dudettes, SV is using the back-up date for the postponed Winter Surf Comp #3.This Sunday, 6th August @ Crunchie Point. High Tide is around 10.45am, so we'll be looking to get the first heat underway at 8 am.A reminder for the crew that have already registered and paid, no need to register again, but please post "IN" if you intend to compete. Damien will add you to the heat draw.Anyone else who wants to compete can go directly to the Sup Vic Tidy HQ to register.Registration cut off will be Fri 7pm to allow the heat draws to be collated.If you're pondering on doing the final event at Pt Impossible, then this could well serve as the perfect warm up.Final weather & swell details will be posted here Thursday PM.

Come join us for a day for the whole family. Bring whatever you can paddle and or pedal. Lysterfield lake offers walking & bike tracks, an all weather paddling venue and a park for the kids to run around in. On site BBQ's allow us to have lunch, so bring some food. There may even be some birthday cake for a special young guest.So bring your boards, your walking shoes, bikes, the kids and enjoy a day for the whole family!Due to the number of native animals that call the lake home, dogs are not allowed at the lake.

"SURF EVENT WAVE, WIND & WEATHER UPDATE"Can you feel it in the air? Yeah!Slight modifications to Sunday's surf event.With the wind and swell that's forecast to come our way, we've made the call to shift the comp further inside the bay to a sweet little break named "Treloar's" It's superbly protected from any wind from the west and offers predominantly a right-hander, with the occasional left [Go Goofy's]We have a massive high tide Sunday, almost 3 metres, so there will be plenty of water over the reef.The ranger has asked us not to park in the small carpark [see arrow], so please drive in, unload your board and gear [ there will be a marquee set up to house your bags, etc], then park your car at either the parking opposite the General Store [closest] or alternatively at either of the carparks nearest to Crunchies. [Maybe paddle across to the SV area]Briefing will now be at 9.30am, with the first heat hitting the water shortly after, so be there at 9am.You now have until 7pm tonight to register, so don't delay.Please also keep in mind that SV don't have exclusivity to the break, so please be mindful and courteous to other surfers that are in the vicinity. There are toilets / change facilities there and the nearby General Store for that classic bacon & egg as well as great coffee.

As we move into Autumn, our thoughts shift to surfing. Sup Vic ran it's first Inverloch surf weekend 9 years ago and it's always been a popular social event on the SV calendar. This year, we'll travel a little further east to Wilson's Prom for a weekend of waves, windsup, more waves and paddling fellowship. ... Sure, it's a little further, but this pristine part of Victoria offers some high quality waves and the clearest water imaginable.
