Updated paddle location Tomorrow's Pre-Agm paddle has seen a location change due to the forecast windy conditions.   The session is scheduled for 12pm at Beaumaris Bay. The location offers amazing views & protection from the northerly breeze.   Parking is available to Kingston council permit holders. Free parking can also be found on Beach Rd & Mundy St which is directly opposite the walkway to the beach.   It's advisable that people help one another with unloading & carrying boards across the road.   This paddle is recommended for competent intermediate paddlers. The sunshine and a mild forecast of 19 degrees will make this a very enjoyable paddle.   Mark Renouf will be overseeing the session. Legropes are mandatory.   https://maps.apple.com/place?coordinate=-37.986807,145.055171&name=Marked%20Location&map=explore   At SUP VIC we have a crew of dedicated and highly experienced SUP enthusiasts who are committed to giving back to our members. This session you can join members of the SUP VIC committee and other SUP addicts on the water for a casual Paddle - pick your distance 8, 6, or 2km, find your paddle crowd and be off. Take the opportunity to pick up some tips on technique, equipment advice, or gear (winter is coming!). Just make sure you're back in an hour to meet up as we have a private booking for Hobsons - Sandy's cozy pub. A great fire awaits you post paddle along with a bar tab thanks to SUPVIC.  The AGM, Club Awards, Presentations and free door prizes will take place from 2pm to 4pm and then the pub opens to the public for an exclusive one night only Sunday dinner. Prizes include Paddle Clinic Vouchers, Red Paddle Co gear and more! 8:30 AM – 12:00 PM
Our wonderful club has been so fortunate over the journey to have had some great servants represent, nuture and lead from the front foot.   One of those amazing volunteers [yes, everything that happens within our club is done purely on a voluntary commitment] was our last/past president, George "GT" Thomas.   He passed suddenly 2 years ago and our Sup Vic community was shocked and saddened by this tragic occurence. Sup Vic was a huge part of GT's life and our club held a memorial paddle last year to remember & celebrate his life and services to the club.   This annual memorial paddle will take place at one of GT's favourite places in "God's Country".   Come along to remember GT, paddle, share some stories and waves.   The event fee covers the cost of the post paddle BBQ and a donation to "Heart Matters" charity.    Don't forget to bring your 5 friends!!   Social paddles included in SUPVIC financial membership https://supvic.tidyhq.com Leg Rope essential. Ahhh, the change of seasons brings a change of focus! Ever wondered why the iconic Ripcurl Bells Beach surfing event is held annually in Autumn? Simple answer.....Swell & tides as we enter the cooler months ahead.   With the formation of the new Sup Vic Gippsland Pod, it's time we kicked off their inclusion with an all in, fun morning of sharing waves.   The chosen location is Cat Bay/Shelly Beach @ Phillip Island, but we'll aim to be flexible wholly dependent of wind & swell forecasts [tides are locked in!]   We will also have a 2 day window to ensure the best possible conditions. The day & location will be confirmed on Thursday 27th March @ 5pm.   If you've always dreamt of catching your first wave, surfing somewhere different, meeting like-minded surf tragics or helping mentor surf newbies, then here's your first chance for 2025!!      Social paddles included in SUPVIC financial membership https://supvic.tidyhq.com Leg Rope essential.
